In The Heart of Mexico
In this series demonstrating her voyage to Mexico, these works represent some portraits that came to her in dreams, before, during and after the journey. This imagination, these memories, are linked to the lectures, the encounters, an immersion in the culture, a people, A Story, stories, authentic exchanges, simple relations ...
An emotion, an encounter...and the dreams speak and draw a work...in pencil...it's the trait that appears. Then the color takes its place on the canvas, it is born of a mixture of tints, it evolves, it comes to superimpose itself over others... the regards are profound, they speak, it's an open door on a past rich with History and culture. The line separates, cuts and divides the work in two, or even three spaces and times. The duality expresses itself in the material and the colors.
